Location: Lasswade High School Centre, Gymnastics Academy, Eskdale Drive, Bonnyrigg, EH19 2LA
At Lasswade Gymnastics Club we have an excellent opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic Level 1+ coaches to join our coaching team as cover coaches. This will initially be on a self-employed basis and may provide opportunities for future employment.
Direct Coaching rate is £10.00 – £13.78 per hour dependant on Qualification Level. Invoiced monthly on a Self-Employed basis.
Cover coaching offers a high degree of flexibility in your working hours within our regular weekly programme which runs in the evenings of a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday afternoon/ Evening, and Sunday all day.
Main Responsibilities:
- To assist with the delivery of coaching sessions for gymnasts to the level of qualification.
- To work as a team with other club coaches to ensure effective running of each training session.
Person Specification:
- Hold a minimum of Level 1 coaching qualification in Women’s or Men’s Artistic, General or Teamgym and be keen to work towards Level 2+.
- Hold current membership to Scottish Gymnastics, Safeguarding Certificate, and a PVG.
- Value and prioritise gymnasts’ happiness and well-being, while motivating and encouraging gymnasts to achieve new skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, and individually.
- Be prepared to cover groups across the club, as and when required.
- A good work ethic and desire to learn
