sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. We operate three national centres and the Scottish Avalanche Information Service, all of which are managed independently within the sportscotland Trust Company.

 sportscotland’s national centre Glenmore Lodge is Scotland’s National Outdoor Training Centre, where we focus primarily on:

  • Supporting and developing leaders.
  • Empowering and promoting lifelong participation in adventure/outdoor activities
  • Sharing information and serving the outdoor community.

To be considered for this post.  You must be a passionate and active biker who is experienced in, or ready to deliver, training at the highest level.  You will require a significant amount of personal experience and hold national level qualifications. MBLA MBL or BC Level 3 Leadership are essential and experience and/or qualifications in coaching are desirable.

Other outdoor qualifications and expertise are of interest but not essential.  The ability to work within our team is essential and experience of national working forums desirable. Your role will involve mentoring the wider workforce and leading key aspects of our national centre work.  Organising your wider responsibilities, experience of office technologies, alongside high-quality customer focussed delivery is essential for this role.
