The inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships, which will take place in Glasgow and Scotland in 2023 and combining 13 existing World Championships for the first time, creates a unique and exciting opportunity for talented, highly skilled individuals to share their experience and knowledge, and make a genuine impact helping deliver this high-profile event.
We are searching is looking for four independent board members, including one position to fulfil the role of Audit and Risk Committee Chair, to join us on this exciting journey, profiling Scotland as a world class events destination and the perfect stage for events.
To maintain the governance structure of the organisation, we are keen to encourage individuals who have good knowledge of sports governance at board level, a strong understanding of non-executive leadership, and the ability to operate both collaboratively and strategically.
While all applications will be welcome, the Board is particularly keen to hear from applicants with specific experience in legal, financial, risk (specifically to undertake the role of Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee), commercial income generation, active travel, sustainability, tourism and security and resilience.
This is an exceptional opportunity where individuals will be able to help ensure the highest level of governance and support strategic decisions whilst being part of the biggest cycling event ever to take place.
