Ice Technician: Inverness Ice Centre

Part or Full Time Ice Technician will be considered

The hourly rate of pay or salary, holidays and benefits will depend on experience.

This is an ideal role for someone who is looking for a career in ice preparation as there will be the opportunity to balance ice technician duties with the potential for coaching and ice sport development.

We are currently looking for a rounded responsible person to complement our existing team of Ice staff.

The duties, which involves weekend and shift working, include working in the Ice Rink facility, changing areas and other bar and café areas, operating the Ice Resurfacer, preparing Ice for Curling, assisting with tuition of skating lessons, working closely with the Public, First Aid, setting up and dismantling equipment/furniture and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the Ice areas.

Experience, although preferred, is not essential for these duties as training can be provided.

Curling and/or skate coaching qualifications would be useful but not essential for the role.

There will be ice sport development responsibilities and training and support will be provided.

Ongoing customer care and creating a welcoming experience is of prime importance to the Centre, and the successful applicant will be required to demonstrate skills in this area.

It should be noted that a Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme application (PVG) and References are requirements for this post and therefore, if successful following interview, will be requested thereafter.
