British Gymnastics is the UK Governing Body for the sport and recreation of gymnastics. We exist to support, lead and inspire all those involved or interested in gymnastics; from the creation of new programmes and activities at grass roots level in the community, to the development of talent producing international gymnasts.
This is an exciting time to join British Gymnastics, as we are driving a period of unparalleled success: participation and membership is rising, our fan base is growing, and our medal-winning British Team has never been so prolific.
Heading into the 2020 Tokyo cycle we are looking to appoint a Head National Coach Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) with a vision and passion for excellence to drive and build on the amazing success achieved at the 2016 Olympic games.
As the Head National Coach, you will be accountable and responsible for delivering High Performance (HP) technical programmes by creating and contributing to a sustainable, thriving World Class performance culture for athletes, coaches and support staff. As well as, designing, implementing and monitoring a World Class performance programme that will meet the specific outcomes at Olympic, World and European levels, as set by the British Gymnastics Tokyo Strategy (in conjunction with UK Sport) and the overall British Gymnastics strategy.
To be successful in the role, you must have proven international coaching experience in a medal-winning World Class performance program at World and Olympic level along with experience of working with and improving elite athletes in a coaching capacity. Additionally, you will hold a High Performance Coach (HPC) or level 4/5 equivalent qualification with a background in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics coaching and current knowledge/certificate of safeguarding and protecting children in sport.
