Caledonian Netball Club: Coaches

Are you a Tracey Neville in the making? Maybe more of a Norma Plummer? Caledonian Netball Club are gearing up for the 2019-20 season but we still require a few more dedicated coaches for teams in divisions 1, 2 & 4.

We offer our coaches £500 per season, as well as funding coach development courses available through Netball Scotland. You'll also receive a snazzy Caley branded coaching top so you'll always look top of your game! No prior coaching experience is required, just a knowledge of netball and a desire to lead a team on the match/training court for the season.

Our coaches are responsible for the organising and selecting players at trials (if possible!). Preparing and leading team training each Wednesday (or finding a substitute coach if not available). Providing player feedback throughout sessions and matches. Ideally, match coaching at games held at Oriam on Sunday afternoon/evenings (again, responsible for finding cover if unavailable to attend a game).

We train on Wednesdays at George Watson’s College in Edinburgh, in rotating slots between 6.30-9pm (timetables shared at the start of the season). Our season runs from around September - May. We are proud of the fact that commitment from team members and coaches is high in all squads at Caley - making it much easier to progress throughout the season and keep things cohesive!

We are a fun, social & competitve club with a strong social scene and a lot of friendships between players. We do trial all players for all teams every year, which also keeps up that competitive edge.

This year trials take place 21 and 28 August, 6.30-8.30pm at George Watson’s. We have selectors to assist this process but coaches have final say.

The exec would be super keen to chat if you or anyone you think would be suitable for this position. Please contact us on here or email: caleynetball@gmail.com
