Job Title: Academy Goalkeeping Coach (Part time and Volunteer)

Department: Ayr United FC Academy

Reports To: Head of Academy and Head of Phases

Location Belmont Academy Nursery Road, Ayr

Hours Part Time and Volunteer positions – 2 sessions per week both PT and Volunteer

Job Purpose

To follow the existing coaching syllabus within the Academy. Developing players within the age group across the four corners in line with Ayr United Football Academy’s coaching programme.

Remuneration

Dependent on qualification based on 10 hours per week  

Volunteer Coach Education package available to develop qualifications

Role Responsibilities & Key Duties

  • To deliver the coaching syllabus within the GK phase
  • To record session plans and submit attendance accordingly for every session delivered within the 9-18 Academy
  • To evaluate and cross reference learning objectives to the individual’s outcomes
  • To take a multidisciplinary approach to working using the expertise of sports science and medical staff as well as Academy and Senior coaching staff
  • To assist submit all Academy phase reviews every 12 weeks
  • To attend all stipulated sessions in line with the Academy Coaching Timetable
  • To contribute to the recruitment & trial process of the programme if/when required
  • To attend Saturday or Sunday fixtures where applicable
  • To attend all Academy meetings where applicable
  • To undertake appropriate CPD in line with SPFL /SFA rules and regulations
  • To complete any other duties as deemed reasonable by the Academy Manager or Phase Lead
