Founded in 1893, The West Kilbride Golf Club is a highly regarded traditional members’ club with over 1,000 members across a range of categories. Demand for membership is exceptionally strong, with the Club currently at capacity and a long waiting list in place. Set on the stunning Ayrshire coast, the Club enjoys spectacular coastal views and a reputation as a true Scottish links golf course, attracting visiting golfers from across the UK and overseas. Reflecting its standing in the industry, the Club was recently ranked 49th in Scotland by National Club Golfer.
The Club is ambitious and forward-looking, with a clear commitment to strengthening its reputation within the industry. Recent investment has transformed our facilities and infrastructure, including a new clubhouse decking area in 2022 and a highly successful redevelopment of the practice facilities in 2023. Modern greenkeeping machinery has further enhanced course presentation and efficiency. Looking ahead, the installation of a new course irrigation system, scheduled to begin in September 2026, represents a major statement of intent, underlining the Club’s long-term commitment to course quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement - making it an exciting time to be part of the team.
As an established championship venue, team members gain unique opportunities to experience major national events, including the R&A Senior Home Internationals (September 2023), the Scottish Boys Open Championship (April 2025), and the Scottish PGA Championship (August 2026).
