We are recruiting – Independent Non-Executive Director – Finance
British Dodgeball is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking finance professional to join our Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director – Finance .
Since 2017, British Dodgeball has grown into a resilient organisation with ambitious plans for the future. We are now looking to strengthen our Board with additional financial expertise to support strong governance, sustainability, and strategic decision-making.
About the role
This is a voluntary position , with all reasonable travel and subsistence expenses reimbursed.
Time commitment: Approximately 2–3 days per month (5–6 Board meetings per year)
Term: 3 years (maximum of two terms)
Location: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, or Wales
Key requirements include:
Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial compliance
Understanding of small business or sports organisation environments
Ability to advise on financial strategy, risk, and performance
Commitment to good governance, equality, and safeguarding
As a Board Director, you will contribute to strategic oversight, fulfil Company Director responsibilities under the Companies Act (2006), and act as an ambassador for British Dodgeball.
