We are currently looking for a Sports Medicine Doctor who will provide reactive medical care to sports and athletes supported by sportscotland institute of sport, as well as season-long preventative support with the aim of reducing illness and injury in high performance sport.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in Home Country Sport Institutes (EIS, SINI, WIS) and links with sports governing bodies, Commonwealth Games Scotland and the British Olympic and Paralympic Associations.

The Sports Medicine Doctor has clinical and managerial duties, leading as medical practitioners in the wider support team. To be successful in this role, you will be experienced in the field of high performance sport and medically qualified in the field of Sport and Exercise Medicine. You should also be a team player with leadership qualities to help deliver support to Scottish and UK athletes

Due to the nature of the role, you should be self-motivated as this post will involve making difficult decisions and working in the demanding field of performance sports medicine. In addition, a demonstrable record of innovation and delivering world class sports medicine would be advantageous.
