Salary: £19,612 - £21,814
HWUSU is a student focussed organisation responsible for the University’s sporting needs, sitting beneath Oriam in the University’s hierarchical structure. HWUSU currently offers over 30 sports, as well as a range of other opportunities through volunteering and links in the local community.
The number of sports offered by HWUSU has steadily increased over time, with volunteering, community links, social opportunities and charity work also becoming more prominent parts of HWUSU. The SU currently has just over 1,700 unique members and over 2200 member registrations, spread across the 30+ sports on offer.
The role of the SUA is to complete all actions within the following three key work streams:
- Finance administration
- Special events
The Sports Union Administrator is responsible complete administrative tasks imperative to the operation of the business.
The role is the responsible for the finance administration of the Sports Union, including invoicing, payment of bills and completing necessary actions for staff payroll, coach contracts and scholar requests.
The SUA will also be responsible for the coordination of three key SU social events in the year in the Ceilidh, Ball and Blues & Volunteers in October, February and May, respectively. They will also support the office with the coordination of key SU meetings, minute-taking and other key operational procedures such as health & safety and administration of kit contract.
