Biggar Rugby  – Ladies Head Coach

Biggar Rugby is looking for a Head Coach for the Ladies Team to lead and progress the squad in to the West 1 League for the 2019-20 season.

Biggar Ladies have been growing since 2016 and have had a series of fixtures in the NDL over the last two seasons.  We have a hugely successfully Girls section playing in the Mirage Conference with a flow of extremely talented players exiting U18 rugby each season.  The Club is based on the outskirts of Biggar and is a 45 minute drive from Glasgow, Edinburgh and the heart of the Borders.

Key Responsibilities would be:

  1. Prepare a season plan and deliver planned sessions aimed at improving individuals, units and the team to perform at Regional West 1.
  2. Attend all fixtures and training sessions.
  3. Grow Ladies numbers (with the aid of the Club Development Officer) and retain U18 Players each season.
  4. Look to develop the culture of Ladies Rugby at the club incorporating Strength & Conditioning and Analysis (with help from the Academy Team).

The Club seeks an ambitious and reliable Head Coach as it seeks to move the Ladies Squad towards National and Premiership rugby.  The position will suit a coach who wishes to lead a journey from non-league rugby to establishing the club within the top of Scottish Women's Rugby.  The coach could be an existing player, experienced or new coach.  The Club will support the Ladies Team with gym facilities and support from the Club Development Officer and Academy Team.  The coach should be UKCC Level 2 with the ambition to progress towards Level 3.

Remuneration, expenses and personal development package is available to the right individual.
