Golf Club Secretary: Ravelston Golf Club

Part-Time (30 hours per week) - Full-Time option available

About Us

Ravelston Golf Club is a unique gem in the heart of Edinburgh - just 15 minutes from the city centre. Founded in 1912 and proud to be part of the Association of James Braid Courses, we're more than just a golf club. With a vibrant membership of over 700 across Men's, Women's, and Junior sections, we're known for our welcoming atmosphere and strong sense of community. Often described as "a village club in a city," Ravelston is unusual in having an equal split of men and women, creating a truly inclusive environment.

We're looking for a Club Secretary who will play a key leadership role in the life of the club. This is not just about administration - it's about being the heartbeat of a friendly, member-focused community.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A commercially aware approach, balanced with a genuine passion for people and service.
  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills, with the ability to listen and engage.
  • A flexible, hands-on attitude - no two days are the same here!
  • Familiarity with Club V1 and Xero is helpful, but not essential.
  • A relevant qualification in Club Management (or a willingness to work towards one).

You'll be supported by a part-time administrative assistant and work closely with the Club Captain, Council, and our dedicated team.
