Over the summer months, Cricket Scotland is seeking a proactive and organised Events Coordinator to support the planning and on-site delivery of multiple international and domestic cricket events. The Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning and on-site execution of multiple international and domestic cricket events over the summer months.
In this role, the post holder will work closely with Cricket Scotland staff, host venues, and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of all event operations.
On-Site Event Delivery
- Act as an on-site representative for Cricket Scotland during event days, ensuring all event operations run smoothly.
- Collaborate with Cricket Scotland staff and departments to manage event logistics and planning.
- Oversee event-day activities, including match operations, guest experience, and venue activations.
- Support event officials, volunteers, and support staff to ensure effective event execution.
Site Build & Infrastructure Coordination
- Work closely with the Cricket Operations Manager in preparing venues according to event specifications.
- Assist in overseeing the installation of event infrastructure, including ticketing booths, marquees, seating, and activation zones.
- Ensure compliance with all necessary permits and health and safety regulations.
Venue Agreements & Compliance
- Support the Cricket Operations Manager in ensuring that all host venue agreements (MOU’s) are adhered to and coordinate with venues to fulfil agreed terms.
- Liaise with venue staff and suppliers to confirm adherence to Cricket Scotland's operational and safety standards.
- Document venue compliance with contractual obligations before, during, and after each event.
Compliance with ICC Minimum Standards
- Assist the Cricket Operations Manager in ensuring all events meet International Cricket Council (ICC) minimum standards.
- Review checklists and operational guidelines to ensure compliance across all areas, including match officiating, security, and infrastructure.
Budget & Financial Oversight and Reporting
- Support the Cricket Operations Manager in managing event budgets and tracking expenditures, ensuring expenses align with pre-approved financial plans.
- Contribute to post-event financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist in the collation and preparation of post-event reports, including financial summaries and recommendations for improvement.
Other Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the Schools T20 Cup competition.
- Assist Cricket Scotland departments as required to support wider business operations.
Reporting Line:
This role reports to the Cricket Operations Manager and is part of the Performance Team at Cricket Scotland.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in event management, ideally in sports or large-scale public events.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to problem-solve and manage challenges during live events.
- Familiarity with event logistics, venue operations, and compliance requirements.
- Basic understanding of cricket operations is desirable but not essential.
Place of Work
The National Cricket Academy is based in Edinburgh, but this role requires travel to various event sites across Scotland.
Hours of Work
Within this role, you will work 37.5 hours per week
Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is required, including the ability to work evenings and weekends.
Travel across locations is required, and the post holder must have the ability to travel between event sites.
