This is an exciting opportunity to join the new Wider Achievement and Lifelong Learning Service as an Active Schools Co-ordinator with a remit for providing the Active Schools Service to children and young people in the Trinity Academy Learning Community.

With a strong understanding of the benefits of sport and physical activity, you will have experience of working in this field and be driven to create opportunities, inspire people and have a proven track record of changing lives through sport and physical activity.

An Active Schools Co-ordinator aims to increase the number and diversity of children and young people taking part in sport and physical activity.

The focus will include:

  • Working collaboratively with school staff, pupils, volunteers, local partners and clubs to develop and deliver a diverse programme of sport and physical activities
  • Recruiting and developing volunteers
  • Developing pathways from extracurricular to community clubs
  • Supporting participants from priority groups to participate in activities
