Disability Sport Officer: Lothian Disability Sport

Lothian Disability Sport are looking to appoint a full time Disability Sport Officer who will work in collaboration with key local and national partners to work towards establishing sporting pathways to all people across Edinburgh and the Lothians who have a physical, sensory and learning disability.

The successful candidate will work in tandem with other staff and volunteers to:

  • Create sporting opportunities for people with a disability of all ages
  • Develop the current disability sport workforce and work with mainstream organisations to become more inclusive
  • Promote the charity and its endeavours via appropriate media channels
  • Work with affiliated clubs to improve governance and organisational effectiveness

You will work 35 hours per week, have the opportunity to be either office or home based, and be able to travel as required. Some evening and weekend work will be required. The basic salary will be £24,000 per annum and you will be entitled to 25 days of annual leave (plus 7 public holidays) per calendar year.

This position will be a 1-year fixed term contract, due to the post requiring external funding for sustainability.
