RYA Scotland seek Honorary Secretary & Director for Communications and Partnerships

RYA Scotland is currently seeking two passionate and skilled individuals to join it's Board as voluntary non-executive directors, an Honorary Secretary and a Director for Communications and Partnerships. 

The RYA Scotland Board plays a vital role in shaping how the organisation operates and ensures meaningful impact is delivered in line with RYA Scotland's People, Places and Communities strategy. Honorary Secretary 

This role is central to ensuring good governance across the organisation. While boating or marine experience is not essential, RYA Scotland welcome applicants with professional backgrounds in: 

  • Sports governing bodies
  • The third sector or charity sector
  • Public sector
  • Business, leadership, or governance 

Director for Communications and Partnerships 

This role supports RYA Scotland's Communications & Engagement team in representing Scotland’s boating community and building strong, strategic partnerships. Ideal candidates may have experience in: 

  • Sponsorship and commercial partnerships
  • Journalism, PR, or social media
  • Marketing and content creation
