Participation Project Officer: Scottish Gymnastics

Status of role:  Part-time- 30 hours (across 4 or 5 days)

Location: Based in Craiglockhart tennis centre, 177 Colinton Road, Edinburgh, EH14 1BZ

Salary: £23,400 - £26,000 Pro-rata (depending on experience) 

Hybrid working eligible: Remote working is available if home office set up is suitable for regular home working. Minimum of two days in the office per week, three days remote after the initial induction period. Some evening and weekend working will be a normal requirement of the role.

Scottish Gymnastics is the governing body responsible for all levels of gymnastics activity in Scotland. This is a key role working directly with coaches, clubs and the wider delivery workforce to support them in a range of areas including developing knowledge & understanding, coaching practice and practical techniques which will enhance delivery at recreational level. The project officer will inspire and encourage a collaborative approach to coaching and session planning which gives participants a holistic and foundational experience. 

The project officer will be strong in coaching people and mentoring, have a strong gymnastics knowledge and be an effective presenter/facilitator. An ability to build, maintain and grow positive relationships with coaches and deliverers will be key to success in this role.

We are looking for a dynamic team player who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and develop strong, effective working relationships. Great attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work proactively with coaches, clubs and partners are essential. A continuous improvement approach to your work will be expected as well as the ability to reflect and seek creative solutions to challenges.

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory PVG scheme membership and confirmation of holding a Level 2+ qualification in any gymnastics discipline. 

Closing date: Monday 27 January by 5pm.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 February in Edinburgh.

Unfortunately, no alternative interview dates will be possible.
