Our characteristics

The Equality Act 2010 protects you from discrimination based on your age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. These are called protected characteristics.

Identities are made up of different characteristics. Self-identity is how you identify and define yourself.
