It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of former sportscotland Chief Executive, Brigadier Allan Alstead CBE.
Allan held a number of high-profile roles in sport including the sportscotland role and was also Chef de Mission for the Scottish Commonwealth Games team in 2002.
Our thoughts and condolences are with his family.
