What has been your highlight during your time as a YA?
My highlight of my time as a YA has got to be the conference I attended, as it was very inspirational and such a good atmosphere to be around. However, at my school, as a YA, my favourite time would be giving up my Wednesday lunchtime for a small target group of primary school kids who were brought over to participate in weekly sporting activities, such as football and table tennis. This was to help bring out confidence and communication skills from the children. I volunteered to help our Active Schools Coordinator, and it was worthwhile!
What advice would you give to a young person considering becoming a Young Ambassador?
You can make a difference. Don't shy away from a challenge, and don't let any opportunities slip by without consideration.
What is your favourite sport?
Basketball!
What are your future aspirations?
To become a gym floor personal trainer and help support people 1 to 1 with their fitness goals. Also show people that having physical activity can help support them in everyday life with their mental health, mobility and more.
