The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Youth Academy Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, delivering, and reviewing high-quality coaching sessions for academy players, while supporting their technical, tactical, physical, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions in line with the club's philosophy (U14 - U19 age groups).
- Support players' holistic development, including technical, tactical, physical, and psychological growth.
- Monitor and evaluate player progress, contributing to Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Lead teams in matches, ensuring learning outcomes are prioritised over results.
- Work collaboratively with academy staff, players, and parents.
- Uphold Livingston FC's values of respect, hard work, and professionalism.
Requirements
- UEFA C Licence (minimum) - UEFA B Licence preferred.
- Previous experience coaching young players in an academy or grassroots environment.
- Strong understanding of youth development principles.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and people skills.
- Commitment to ongoing coach development and safeguarding practices.
- PVG Scheme membership (or willingness to obtain).
