Women's NTP East - Athletic Performance Coach: Scottish Rugby

Salary: £24,000 based on 0.8 FTE
Location: Oriam, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, EH14 4AS

Do you want to work closely with National Talent Pathway players to accelerate physical development through expert coaching, education, and performance support? This role may be the one for you! Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll align delivery to national pathway goals and drive high-performance standards across the athlete pathway.

What you will be doing:

  • Support the physical development of National Talent Pathway players through targeted coaching and performance delivery.

  • Provide education and guidance across key areas of athletic performance.

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver joined-up athlete support.

  • Align coaching and performance delivery with wider national pathway goals and standards.

  • Promote a high-performance culture that drives consistent athlete development across the pathway.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in athletic performance or strength and conditioning, ideally within a talent pathway or high-performance environment.

  • Strong knowledge of physical development principles and their application to athlete preparation and progression.

  • Ability to coach, educate and influence athletes effectively to support performance and development.

  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated athlete support.

  • Clear understanding of high-performance standards and athlete pathway development, with the ability to align delivery to wider programme goals.
