University of Edinburgh: Physical Preparation Coach x2

Are you ready to make a significant impact in high-performance sport? The University of Edinburgh is seeking a Physical Preparation Coach to join our team.

We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable individual with a strong background in physical preparation or strength and conditioning. You should bring a collaborative mindset and a passion for helping athletes achieve their best.

The Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity to join the University of Edinburgh's dynamic physical preparation team, working closely with a world-class physiotherapy department and some of the UK's leading technical coaches within a high-performance university sport environment. You'll support elite student-athletes as they prepare for international competitions, World Championships, and major games, contributing to a progressive and forward-thinking performance culture. The role offers access to cutting-edge equipment and technology, including the full VALD performance suite, Output Sports, PlayerData GPS, and Lumin Sports software, providing the tools and environment to deliver high-quality physical preparation support.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent, ideally in sports science or related area specialising in physical preparation of elite athletes.
  • Experience in the provision of physical preparation support to international standard athletes.
  • UKSCA: ASCC, NSCA: CSCS, ASCA: Lv2 or Equivalent (Or ability to attain within 12 months).
  • Enthusiasm to develop and keep up to date with current research and training methods related to physical preparation.
