Team UWS Sports Coach - Netball

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the University of the West of Scotland as a Team UWS Sports Coach - Netball. Working as part of the Team UWS staff team, this role will undertake work associated with the delivery of relevant netball team activities. As a member of the coaching team, you will co-ordinate the delivery of a high-quality coaching programme that increases participation and performance, in conjunction with the Sport Development Coordinator.

The role will involve coaching responsibilities for Team UWS netball sessions, as well as a range of other responsibilities relating to the effective organisation of a university sports team. The Team UWS sports club will be led by a student committee, and each sports coach will be expected to liaise closely with the committee to deliver a high-quality student experience at club activities and fixtures.

The successful candidate will hold, as a minimum, a relevant NGB Level 1 Coaching Qualification or other equivalent sport coaching qualification. Candidates should also have experience and knowledge of coaching a competitive team in a paid or voluntary capacity.

Employment type: Part-time Fixed Term

Salary: £13.84 paid hourly (UWS Grade 2) plus holiday pay

Training and Fixtures: Thursdays 6 – 8pm at Glasgow International Arena

BUCS fixtures – Saturdays - various locations as required.
