A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the University of the West of Scotland as a Team UWS Football Coach. We are looking for a coach to work with our Men’s 2s team.
Working as part of the Team UWS staff team, this role will undertake work associated with the delivery of relevant football team activities. As a member of the coaching team, you will co-ordinate the delivery of a high-quality coaching programme that increases participation and performance, in conjunction with the Sport Development Coordinator.
The role will involve coaching responsibilities for Team UWS football sessions, as well as a range of other responsibilities relating to the effective organisation of a university sports team. The Team UWS sports club will be led by a student committee, and each sports coach will be expected to liaise closely with the committee to deliver a high-quality student experience at club activities and fixtures.
The successful candidate will hold, as a minimum, a relevant NGB Level 1 Coaching Qualification or other equivalent sport coaching qualification. Candidates should also have experience and knowledge of coaching a competitive team in a paid or voluntary capacity.
Employment type: Part-time Fixed Term
Salary: £13.84 paid hourly (UWS Grade 2) plus holiday pay
Training and Fixtures: Mondays 4 – 6pm at Park Villa Community Sports Hub
BUCS fixtures – Wednesdays - various locations as required.
