A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the University of the West of Scotland as a Team UWS Sports Coach. Working as part of the Team UWS staff team, this role will undertake work associated with the delivery of relevant sports team activities. As a member of the coaching team, you will co-ordinate the delivery of a high-quality coaching programme that increases participation and performance, in conjunction with the Sport Development Coordinator.
The role will involve coaching responsibilities for Team UWS sports clubs, as well as a range of other responsibilities relating to the effective organisation of a university sports team. The Team UWS sports club will be led by a student committee, and each sports coach will be expected to liaise closely with the committee to deliver a high-quality student experience at club activities and fixtures.
The successful candidate will hold, as a minimum, a relevant NGB Level 1 Coaching Qualification or other equivalent sport coaching qualification. Candidates should also have experience and knowledge of coaching a competitive team in a paid or voluntary capacity.

Salary: £13.84 paid hourly (UWS Grade 2) plus holiday pay
Training and Fixtures: Determined by sport and delivered in venues across Glasgow and Renfrewshire. BUCS fixtures – various locations as required.
