A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the University of the West of Scotland as a Team UWS Sports Coach. Working as part of the Team UWS staff team, this role will undertake work associated with the delivery of relevant sports team activities. As a member of the coaching team, you will co-ordinate the delivery of a high-quality coaching programme that increases participation and performance, in conjunction with the Sport Development Coordinator.
The role will involve coaching responsibilities for Team UWS sports clubs, as well as a range of other responsibilities relating to the effective organisation of a university sports team. The Team UWS sports club will be led by a student committee and each sports coach will be expected to liaise closely with the committee to ensure the sports club and club members are actively participating in sessions and reaching both team and personal goals.
The successful candidate will hold, as a minimum, a relevant NGB Level 1 Coaching Qualification or other equivalent sport coaching qualification. Candidates should also have experience and knowledge of coaching a competitive team in a paid or voluntary capacity.

Employment type: Part-time Fixed Term
Salary: £13.09 paid hourly (UWS Grade 2.1)
Training and Fixtures: Determined by sport and delivered in venues across Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire. BUCS fixtures – various locations as required.
