Making Waves is a private swimming pool dedicated to teaching swimming and has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Swimming Coordinator to join a dynamic team. We have a team made up of Swimming Teachers, Lifeguards, Coordinators, Café staff and Reception staff, to ensure the seamless operation of delivering high quality swimming lessons. At Making Waves, we teach around 2,000 babies, children and adults every week.
Overview of the role
The role of the Swimming Coordinator at Making Waves is to ensure the safe and effective delivery of swimming lessons within the facility at all times, and being the bridge between customers and teachers. We are seeking someone who presents themselves in a professional and confident manner, who can remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, who has experience teaching swimming from babies, children and adults to coaching club swimmers. Experience of some of these elements would be advantageous.
There is also an element of teaching expected within the role, split between permanent shifts, and cover where needed.
An RLSS pool lifeguard qualification or TA qualification would be another advantage.
Hours of work
The expected start date is Friday 30th of May 2025
The hours of work we require are –
Monday 08:30-19:30
Friday 10:00-19:30
Saturday 08:00-13:30
Sunday 08:00-14:00
This is a total of 32hrs (before break deductions) and subject to change to suit the needs of the business.

Salary and Benefits

Training
You will be required to complete COSHH and Manual Handling training online. In the early stages of your employment, you will be paired with an experienced Swimming Coordinator to shadow them, and to understand your tasks and responsibilities as a Swimming Coordinator.
