Oriam: Fitness Instructor

Casual Role

Oriam is looking to recruit a Fitness Instructor to join our Fitness team. There is a total of ten hours over two shifts (Monday morning) and Tuesday evening) available. This would be on a casual basis from week commencing 6th Jan – week commencing 28th April.

The fitness team consists of up to five staff and multiple group exercise instructors. They sit alongside the Sports Union and Oriam performance & community teams in Oriam’s Delivery Section.

Oriam’s main public gym is being refreshed and will have state-of-the-art Precor and Technogym equipment and combined with a separate Strength & Conditioning gym there are over 10 platforms for customers to use. Oriam also has a dedicated spin studio and two exercise studios for all group exercise classes, including a range of Les Mils classes.

Being based on a University campus, the fitness services cater to a blend of students, staff and local community. The variety of needs of our customer base and conversations keep our team on their toes but makes for a very welcoming & inclusive environment.

More specifically, the fitness team at Oriam are responsible for the upkeep of the gym spaces and delivering excellent customer service to all customers. The remit of each fitness instructor is slightly different but the role holder is expected to deliver gym inductions, gym circuits, personal training and there is opportunity to deliver other group exercise classes.

Salary is between £22,681 and £24,533 dependent on experience on a pro-rata basis.
