National Development Manager – Education and Workforce: Netball Scotland

About Us

Netball Scotland is aiming to make netball the #1 team sport for women and girls in Scotland and to improve the world ranking of our national team to #6 in the world by 2031.

Our mission is to empower women and change the game around netball. As part of our Development Team, you will play a key role in growing and promoting the sport across the country. This is your chance to shape the future of netball education and training in Scotland.

The Role

Are you a confident, forward thinking leader who wants to make a real difference and is ready to shape education development and drive innovation?

In this key role, you will bring strategic thinking and strong planning skills, paired with the emotional intelligence to lead with integrity and stay solutions focused under pressure. A deep understanding of the sport sector—including Local Authorities, Leisure Trusts, clubs and Further/Higher Education is essential, along with familiarity with the Scottish Coaching Certificate and SCQF framework.

You will deliver on strategy, manage budgets, and bring people together to achieve shared goals. You will be comfortable communicating complex ideas clearly, whether in writing, presenting, or through visual tools and experienced at influencing stakeholders.

Experience working with volunteers, project management, and using digital tools (including Microsoft Office and CRM systems) is vital. Just as important is your commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and your ability to lead and collaborate in a way that inspires trust and drives results.

If you are highly organised, people focused, and ready to step into a high impact role within a supportive, ambitious team then we would love to hear from you.
