Grangemouth Community Sports Trust is a charity set up to manage Grangemouth Stadium for community benefit.
Grangemouth Stadium is central Scotland's premier athletics training and competition facility and hosts a large number of regional, national and international events, squad training days and coaching conferences. It has been the home of many Olympic and Commonwealth squad teams for training and boasts the relocated Hampden track from the 2014 Commonwealth Games. It is home to Falkirk Victoria Harriers and Forth Valley Flyers and is of huge importance to the local community.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the general upkeep of the indoor and outdoor facilities
- Keeping the grounds looking good, including grass pitch maintenance
- Regular track cleaning (indoor and outdoor)
- Carry out reactive and planned repairs and maintenance
- Appointing specialist contractors from an approved list when required
- Moving equipment around the site
- External litter-picking
- Carry out activities to support the needs of the facility as directed by the Stadium Manager
Education and qualifications
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience using machinery
Essential and desirable skills /experience/attributes
- Previous experience in property maintenance (Essential)
- Self-motivated (Essential)
- Enjoy working on your own and as part of a team (Essential)
- While qualifications are not essential, experience in plumbing, electrical work, joinery, painting and decorating, or plastering would be beneficial (Desirable)
- Grounds maintenance experience, such as grass cutting and pitch lining (Desirable)
Working conditions
- 25 hours per week across 5 days per week
- Permanent, part-time
- Based at The Stadium working indoors and outdoors
