Location: Oriam, Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre, Edinburgh, EH14 4AS
Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent employee benefits
Hours: Part-time, 12 hours per week.
Two nights training per week, plus a weekend matchday, with exact days and times dependent on the Academy schedule.

Heart of Midlothian Football Club is a Scottish Premiership club based in Edinburgh with Elite Academy Status. We are looking for a Foundation Coach to play an important part in supporting and inspiring the next generation of talent within our Girls’ Academy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven coach with football experience and a genuine passion for helping young players grow, develop and enjoy the game. Working closely with the Foundation Lead and Head of Girls Academy, the successful candidate will help create an environment where every player has the chance to flourish.
Foundation Academy Coach Responsibilities:
Support the Foundation Lead in delivering coaching sessions and assessing players through informal conversations and formal reviews with parents/carers.
Deliver coaching sessions and support matchday coverage for the Foundation programme.
Maintain accurate records of session attendance and player assessments on the Academy Online systems, including consent and medical engagement forms.
Ensure all Foundation Academy kit issued is properly maintained.
Attend Academy meetings and CPD events to support effective communication, planning and evaluation across the department.
Support a positive, player-focused environment that encourages development.
Support any other related duties as required by the Head of Girls’ Academy, Academy Manager, or other senior Academy staff.
Essential Experience, Qualifications & Requirements::
Candidates must hold SFA 1.3 Coaching Certificate
Experience working in a football environment.
Experience in a Girls’ Academy environment is desirable.
Can reliably commute to Edinburgh and other locations as per the needs of the position.
Legal right to work in the UK.
Valid UK driving licence.
