Compliance & Administration Assistant: Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA)

Location: Hampden Park, Glasgow (with scope for partial homeworking)

Contract: Full Time (35 hours/week)

Rate of Pay: £23,620

Job Summary

The Scottish Youth Football Association is seeking a highly organised Compliance & Administration Assistant. This role is central to ensuring SYFA maintains high standards of governance, compliance, and member support.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has office and administrative experience, and wants to make a real difference to youth football in Scotland.

This role requires you to prioritise your workload effectively to ensure the consistent delivery of a quality service to our members.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to the Compliance Officer as required

  • Provide assistance to the Head of Operations as required

  • Provide administrative assistance with the SYFA Scottish Cup Competitions

  • Respond promptly and professionally to email enquiries

  • Provide effective administrative support across various areas of the organisation as required

  • Assist with PVG processing and PVG Panel administration as required.

  • Support diary management, scheduling, and room bookings

  • Build supportive and effective relationships with member leagues and clubs

  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance the SYFA member experience

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing is essential

  • Excellent communication skills, including accurate, clear written skills and professional telephone manner.

  • Exceptional organisation and time-management skills

  • Proven experience in the application of office systems such as Microsoft Office

  • Ability to adapt to new systems quickly and efficiently

  • Ability to maintain records in an ordered and confidential manner

Desirable

  • Experience using the COMET registration system

  • Experience using the Globocol Case Management system
