Job Summary
The Scottish Youth Football Association is seeking a highly organised Compliance & Administration Assistant. This role is central to ensuring SYFA maintains high standards of governance, compliance, and member support.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has office and administrative experience, and wants to make a real difference to youth football in Scotland.
This role requires you to prioritise your workload effectively to ensure the consistent delivery of a quality service to our members.
Key responsibilities
Provide assistance to the Compliance Officer as required
Provide assistance to the Head of Operations as required
Provide administrative assistance with the SYFA Scottish Cup Competitions
Respond promptly and professionally to email enquiries
Provide effective administrative support across various areas of the organisation as required
Assist with PVG processing and PVG Panel administration as required.
Support diary management, scheduling, and room bookings
Build supportive and effective relationships with member leagues and clubs
Identify and implement improvements to enhance the SYFA member experience

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing is essential
Excellent communication skills, including accurate, clear written skills and professional telephone manner.
Exceptional organisation and time-management skills
Proven experience in the application of office systems such as Microsoft Office
Ability to adapt to new systems quickly and efficiently
Ability to maintain records in an ordered and confidential manner
Desirable
Experience using the COMET registration system
Experience using the Globocol Case Management system
