Club Development Officer (Women & Girls) – Scottish Squash

Creating and developing more opportunities for young people and women and girls to experience squash and progress within the sport is a key priority for Scottish Squash. The Club Development Officer plays an important role to continue to develop opportunities within these priority areas.

With the sports’ inclusion in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games for the first time, it’s an exciting time to get involved with squash. Scottish Squash are continuing work to deliver its 2023-2027 strategic plan, Together for Squash in Scotland’, where the main development aims are to bring the ‘world’s healthiest sport’, and all of its physical, mental and social benefits to as many people as possible. Scottish Squash are the national governing body for squash in Scotland and are looking for the right individual to join the development team as Club Development Officer (Women & Girls).

The Club Development Officer (Women & Girls) will support the development of people, places and programmes across Scotland, inspiring people from all backgrounds and working to ensure squash is a more equal and inclusive sport.

Working across Scotland, partnership working will be key in order to work together with national and community partners, local authorities, clubs, indoor centres, schools, colleges and universities.

This post is appropriate for a home working request to be made. Any home working arrangements would be agreed by the post holder’s line manager. The administrative base, for the purposes of expenses and travel claims, is the Scottish Squash HQ (currently located at the address below) but this can be negotiated with the post holder’s line manager.

Salary: SSL Grade 4: £28,117 per year (pro-rata: £16,870)

Position type: Part Time (0.6 FTE)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (flexible working)
