Who is your female role model in sport?
I have been fortunate enough to always have female role models around me in sport, so I could list many. Currently I am working on my dissertation and I have had the opportunity to meet, GB hockey player, Tess Howard. Her story and the journey she has been on with her team to change their hockey kit for the better is truly inspiring.
Why did you want to join the Fit for Girls programme:
I loved the thought of being given the platform to make change on a national level and the chance to become a role model for young girls in sport.
What do you want to achieve as a Fit for Girls Tutor:
I want to help grow the programme and continue to support developing the content, as well as increasing the number of schools involved in fir for girls. I would particularly love to achieve this in my own local authority, North Lanarkshire.
Your message to girls wanting to get involved in sport:
Give it a go, as you’ll never know until you try.
