North East Football Academy provides holiday football camps for children in Aberdeenshire. Our organisation and camps are based on five values; safety, fun & enjoyment, valuing all individuals, inclusive & welcoming and affordability.
We are seeking to recruit for the position of Lead Coach in order to add to our established team of staff.
Lead Coach
Prerequisites
- holds a minimum of SFA 1.3 coaching certificate and/or other relevant coaching or teaching qualifications
- has completed the SFA child wellbeing and safeguarding course
- has a minimum of 5 years relevant experience working with children and young people in a leadership capacity
- has substantial experience in establishing positive relationships with parents and colleagues
- demonstrates the ability to work with various ages and abilities
- has the ability to travel to camp locations across Aberdeenshire
- possesses excellent time keeping and organisation skills
- possesses ability and confidence in managing large groups
Responsibilities
- plan, deliver and evaluate fun, safe, inclusive and engaging coaching sessions for all children in the allocated group
- assume responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of camp attendees for the duration of each day
- mentor voluntary staff and/or NEFA Coaches where required
- maintain accurate records of attendance and have clear knowledge of individual requirements, such as medical conditions, for participants within the allocated group
- assume responsibility for all allocated kit and equipment
- ensure timings and camp processes/structures are followed accurately
- ensure all working areas are kept clean and well maintained
- ensure all activities are completed in line with the relevant risk assessments
- other relevant duties as directed by NEFA Management staff
Successful candidates will be required to complete PVG and background checks along with providing a minimum of one reference. NEFA reserve the right to recruit staff prior to the closing date. Interviews will be held either virtually or in person and may include a practical coaching element.
