Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience plus excellent staff benefits.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days including evenings and weekends.

Heart of Midlothian is a Scottish Premiership Football Club and an Edinburgh institution with a proud heritage dating back to 1874. The remarkable transformation that our stadium and Clubstore has undergone in recent years has contributed to the Club’s major commercial success in Scottish football.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clubstore Manager to join our close-knit retail team. This is a temporary position to provide maternity cover, for a period of 9 months. The Clubstore Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Clubstore and ensuring excellent customer service is provided to every customer by the retail team. The successful candidate will have a real passion for retail, motivated to achieve sales targets and experience of managing a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Clubstore.
- Ensuring the team are aware of sales targets and are motivated to achieve these, encouraging up-selling.
- Process store deliveries in an efficient manner whilst maintaining a high standard of stock room management.
- Ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times, personally and by the whole of the retail team.
- Ensure the store is visually appealing and properly merchandised to attract customers and drive sales.
- Ensure staff are provided with excellent training as per the remit of their roles within the store.
- Provide support to the Head of Retail and Online Manager as and when required with various operational tasks.
Essential Experience, Skills & Criteria:
- Previous managerial experience within a retail environment.
- A proven track record of driving sales and compliance in retail stores.
- Strong commercial awareness and passionate about working within retail.
- Confident IT user.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both customers and colleagues.
- A team player and hands-on leader who is self-motivated and resilient.
- Able to evidence Legal Right to Work in the UK.
- Flexibility with weekly working patterns and able to work matchdays.
