Tools to involve people

The Scottish Approach to Service Design sets out four stages: discover, define, develop, deliver. Try the tools below to help you make the most of each stage.

Discover

Gather inspiration and insights, identify people's needs and develop your initial ideas




Define

Define the challenge and translate it into action




Develop

Co-design with a range of people including excluded or under-represented groups. Explore different answers to the problem. Find inspiration.




Deliver

Test different solutions at small-scale. Reject the solutions that don't work.  Improve the ones that do.
