Q&A with Hayden
What has been your highlight during your time as a YA?
My highlight while being a Young Ambassador is when I helped out at a holiday club there was around 80 Primary 1 to 7s. It was loads of fun and amazing to see how everyone got so stuck into all the different sports. It was great to help out and bring joy to all of the children during the holidays.
Why did you apply to be part of the YA Delivery Team?
As soon as I went to my YA conference I knew that I wanted to be a part of the Delivery Team. I saw the application on Instagram and just decided to give it a go. I put all of my effort into making an application video and was so delighted when I got the email saying that I'd been accepted.
What advice would you give to a young person considering Young Ambassadors?
I would just say give it a go. I was terrified before going to my conference but afterwards I felt so confident on what I was going to share and do in my school.
What is your favourite sport?
My favorite sport is rugby which I absolutely love to play. I also play netball but I love to give any sport ago.
What are your future aspirations?
I have often been one to dream big and my biggest aspiration is to play rugby for Scotland. One day I would also love to run a marathon.
