Carrongrange High School, Falkirk

Carrongrange HS is a SEN School within Falkirk Council with 168 pupils.

YAs Paul and Jordan have been involved in a number of key roles within the school to make sure their are opportunities for everyone to take part in sport within the school.

On a weekly basis they support a lunchtime Dodgeball lunchtime session which has proven very popular.

They also supported National Boccia Day where they organised a full afternoon for pupils to take part in Boccia. Since National Boccia Day they noticed that there are few opportunities for children with complex needs to take part in opportunities in school, so they now support a lunchtime MATP (Motor Activity Training Program) session and help the pupils with complex needs to take part in sports activity appropriate to their needs and ability.

Jordan is also involved in assisting with the paddleboard sessions during the school day, supporting younger pupils in school to access the water. He has also been selected to take part in the Sport Start Program with Scottish Disability Sport and will continue to develop his leaderships skills.

Both have been a fantastic asset to the school!
