The Young Ambassadors helped to support PE staff by creating the school's first every Active Girls week at Arbroath High School. They created posters of female members of staff to highlight the activities that they enjoy, what activities they want to try and their sporting idol to start conversations across the school.
The YAs went around the registration classes and signed pupils up to various workshops throughout the week. These practical workshops included talks from outside speakers including the Arbroath womens football team and mental health charity Back Onside, as well as extra curricular training sessions.
PE teacher and YA mentor, Miss Bowman said: "Our Young Ambassadors are role models for our younger pupils. They showed great leaderships skills when motivating pupils to sign up of the active girl's week sessions and in supporting and engaging with younger pupils in the practical workshops. This is allowing them to get to know the school community better so they can help promote and inspire our pupils to be active."
