What has been your highlight during your time as a YA?
My highlight of my time as a YA has got to be the conference I attended, as it was very inspirational and such a good atmosphere to be around. However, at my school as a YA my favourite time would be sacrificing my Wednesday Lunch time for a small group of primary school kids who got brought over to do some weekly sporting activities such as football and table tennis. I volunteered to help our Active Schools Coordinator and it was definitely worthwhile!
Why did you apply to be part of the YA Delivery Team?
The biggest motivation for me to send in my application was reminiscing about the atmosphere the Delivery Team brought to me and my peers at the conference. I knew from the minute I walked in, I would be interested in being them one day, and if I'm taking my own advice, I fired an application as soon as I saw it being promoted.
