Q&A with Neva

What has been your highlight during your time as a YA?

My highlight has been working closely with the sports committee to work towards and receive our Gold School Sport Award.

What are you most looking forward to as part of the YA Delivery Team?

I am most looking forward to working with a new group of likeminded people to share our passion for sport with new YA’s at the conferences.

What skills would you like to learn or develop during your time as a YA Delivery Team member?

I would like to learn how to support others in their personal development while developing my ability to give beneficial and constructive feedback.

What advice would you give to a young person considering Young Ambassadors?

My advice would be, although it may be out of your comfort zone, it is a unique opportunity to share your thoughts and opinions in sport, meet new people and develop as an individual. Plus, you will be supported by the delivery team throughout the process and we all know how daunting it can be.

What is your proudest achievement (outside of Young Ambassadors)?

My proudest achievement is refereeing a regional rugby game in Wales.

What are your future aspirations?

In the future, I hope to make sport accessible to as many people as possible from any background. Sharing the many benefits it can provide and has given me growing up.
