Q&A with Kirsten

What has been your highlight during your time as a YA?

The highlight during my time as a YA is watching the increasing numbers and enthusiasm at the squash club I started in my school as it is a sport I really enjoy.

What are you most looking forward to as part of the YA Delivery Team?

I am most looking forward to meeting the new YAs from around the country for this year and hopefully playing a role in what they do in the upcoming year.

What skills would you like to learn or develop during your time as a YA Delivery Team member?

I would like to develop my leadership skills as I am used to teaching sport, not explaining how to teach sport.

What advice would you give to a young person considering Young Ambassadors?

I would say to enjoy the experience and opportunity as you can do a lot of amazing things with this role that you will enjoy doing as it can be things that you are passionate about.

What is your proudest achievement (outside of Young Ambassadors)?

My proudest achievement outside of Young Ambassadors was probably when I won the Junior of the Year Award at my squash club for years of volunteering there and coaching squash.

What are your future aspirations?

In the future I would like to study medicine at university.
