sportscotland and Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) Partnership Capacity building resources

SAMH Scottish Action for Mental Health

The sportscotland and SAMH strategic partnership aims to build capacity across sport and physical activity communities. Through a series of learning and development opportunities for sportscotland’s professional staff network, we will explore and understand mental health and wellbeing in the context of sport and physical activity. Over the coming months and years, we will ensure that our learning and development offer focuses on providing insights into wellbeing, understanding mental health barriers to participation and inclusion, and exploring resources to support individuals to look after their wellbeing.

Maintaining Wellbeing session

The digital resource pack is a key part of this learning and development opportunity and one we hope will help carry a new understanding and resilience around mental health and wellbeing.

Embedding the 5 Ways to Wellbeing

Part two of the SAMH and sportscotland route map is Embedding the 5 Ways to WellbeingThis builds on your existing knowledge from previous training by exploring further what the 5 ways to wellbeing are, the benefits and barriers to embedding the 5 ways and building skills on how you can effectively embed the 5 ways both personally and in your sport environment.
