Records Management Plan

The Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011 (PRSA) requires all Scottish Public Authorities to have a robust Records Management Plan (RMP) in place.  The main aim of the PRSA is to improve the quality of record keeping.  It requires an authority (sportscotland) to prepare, implement and keep under review a records management plan.  The plan must clearly set out proper arrangements for the way an authority manages its public records, created in any format, when performing its functions.

sportscotland’s Records Management Plan was approved by the Keeper of the Records of Scotland in February 2017 and is reviewed annually via an informal Progress Update Review (PUR) with the National Records of Scotland.
