Coronavirus (COVID-19)

"We are in unchartered territory just now following the global outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Clearly this is a difficult and uncertain time for everyone in Scotland and beyond. The situation is evolving all the time and it is crucial that everyone stays up to date with the latest government and medical advice.

"The pandemic is affecting every walk of life and of course the world of sport is no different. We are in contact with our governing bodies and we are following the advice of the government. It is absolutely vital that people follow national guidance in terms of self-isolation and seeking further medical advice if they have symptoms or their condition deteriorates.

"As the national agency for sport we will of course support Scottish governing bodies of sport and all our partners as they work with their clubs and members, from grassroots through to performance sport.

"While these are uncertain times, full of challenges, we know that being physically active is one of the best things we can do to reduce the risk of infection and stay healthy, so please take every step you can to help keep our nation active."
