Stepping Stones are currently recruiting new teachers for the 2019/20 academic year, with positions available across Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian.  Are you currently a qualified swimming teacher looking for a new challenge? Stepping Stones are looking to recruit new highly motivated swimming instructors for the August 2019 term.

Job Role: (Start August 2019)

Stepping Stones are seeking an experienced UKCC Level 2 / SSTQ teacher to join our team. Experienced UKCC Level 1 candidates will also be considered, with a view to completing the Scottish Swimming SSTQ bridging qualification  course within 6 months.

Stepping Stones is a swim school providing high quality swimming lessons for children in small groups of up to 6 children. Stepping Stones operates in independent pools and health clubs across Scotland.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • UKCC Level 2 or SSTQ teacher of swimming qualification
  • Self-motivated, willing to work independently
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Experience in teaching children is essential
  • The ability to travel between various venues is essential
  • Disclosure check must also be completed or produced 
    prior to working with Stepping Stones
  • Basic computer knowledge and email access
