Scottish Rugby are looking for someone with drive and enthusiam to actively engage and forge stronger relationships with rugby communities in the Glasgow North Region.
The Regional Director will have ownership and accountability for the development of all aspects of domestic rugby within the region, through the leadership and development of a highly motivated performing team. The successful candidate will lead on the planning and implementation of regional plans to effectively implement Agenda 3. You will also manage and lead the network of Regional Managers and Development Officers within the region.
As a trusted advisor you will work in partnership with clubs, schools, colleges and universities to ensure effective action plans are implemented. Through an understanding of levels of support needed, maintaining productive and effective relationships will be a key skill. Part of the role will also involve taking on responsibility for leading a variety of National Projects.
You must demonstrate a desire to make a difference and grow the game, experience of creating and implementing strategic plans is essential. Knowledge and experience in leading and managing others as well as working with a variety of stakeholders will be crucial in order to hit the ground running. Any specific knowledge of Scottish Rugby’s strategic plans will be highly beneficial.
