Live Borders: Area Manager


FULL TIME (37 hours per week)

£33,909 per annum

There has never been a more exciting time to join us at Live Borders –a not for profit, registered charity delivering leisure, cultural and sport services to all communities of the Scottish Borders and beyond. And in the last year we have been rather busy.

  • 804,030 customer visits to our indoor and outdoor sport & leisure facilities.
  • 366,536 customers visited our swimming pools to do a few lengths
  • Our halls and community centres were used for over 51,000 events by many local groups

We are also committed to investing in our facilities with a recent £250,000 development including a new soft play, café and flume for our flagship sports facility in Hawick . All this along with a planned programme of development in other areas of the business means we need to recruit an ambitious and experienced manager with a track record of success. You must be full of commercial drive and enthusiasm with exceptional leadership and communication skills.  As a senior manager within the Commercial Services team you’ll manage a diverse range of facilities including sports centres and community venues.

This is an exciting and challenging role and in return we’ll give you a generous holiday allowance, pension and other staff benefits.  This role will involve some travel between Live Borders facilities therefore you will hold a full, valid driving licence and have access to a car.
